Shelter is a basic human need. (Survival rule of threes: three minutes without air, three hours without shelter, three days without water, three weeks without food, three months without love). We provide the shelter.

It is possible for architecture to do less harm to the environment while achieving the goals of our Clients. Doing so can create more memorable places.

We are committed to moving the next generation of architects and the public toward socially relevant stewardship of our environment.

We are committed to continuing education for ourselves to find better ways to serve our clients, our community and the environment.

Architecture can be made with meager means by marrying cost effective common labor practices to new efficient space, land and material uses.

Affordable housing homeowners are just as deserving of our design expertise as custom home Clients.

Our work should express not our egos or a stylistic preconception but the needs, desires, operations and personality of our Clients.

We strive to be good neighbors, actively involved in community and regional issues. When necessary, we provide services to deserving organizations pro-bono.

If we provide a place where people like to work, then Clients will like to work with us.

We work hard during business hours and have a life out of the office afterwards. Our location in California provides access to beaches, mountains, city or country to do just that.
