The site was a narrow, deep lot in a transitional commercial neighborhood, the building is a corporate headquarters for a construction firm. The narrow linear design solution provides for optional subdivision of the building into units as well as accomodating growth and expansion of the firm. A broad porch tempers the western sun and an executive private courtyard was created within the front setback. The project is used as an example of proper development within the city. It received a Gold Nuggett award at PCBC in 2003.
