This home sits on an existing elevated pad on a ten acre parcel within a greenbelt area. The home was kept intentionally low to blend into the surroundings, while the combination of simple building forms are reminicient of an Italian hill town. The central courtyard and motor court provide outdoor play and living spaces protected from the prevailing winds. The court separates the private bedrooms from the public common spaces including a home-schooling area. Important spaces orient toward views over the greenbelt to the distant ocean.
